Het album 'Lucio Silla' is een live-opname van de beroemde opera van Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, uitgevoerd door het Orkest en het Koor van het Teatro Real in Madrid, onder leiding van dirigent Ivor Bolton. Deze productie werd geregisseerd door Claus Guth en markeert een belangrijk moment in de geschiedenis van het Teatro Real, aangezien het werd opgevoerd tijdens het jubileumseizoen van het operahuis. De prominente rollen worden vertolkt door vocale solisten als Kurt Streit, Patricia Petibon, Silvia Tro Santafé, Julie Fuchs, María José Moreno en Benjamin Bruns.
De muzikale stijl van 'Lucio Silla' behoort tot de stroming van de opera seria, een genre uit de late barok en vroege klassieke periode, waarin groots drama, virtuositeit en morele dilemma’s centraal staan.
