Deborah Warner's briljante regie combineert kleuren uit die tijd met hedendaagse dynamiek, terwijl William Christie's affectie voor deze opera duidelijk naar voren komt in een overweldigend bejubelde voorstelling, gefilmd in december 2008 in de Opéra Comique in Parijs.
