Dit DVD-album presenteert Puccini’s opera Tosca in een levendige uitvoering door het Orchestra of Festival Puccini onder leiding van dirigent Valerio Galli. De opname behoort tot de laat-romantische, veristische operatraditie, waarin dramatische intensiteit, theatrale spanningsopbouw en rijke orkestrale kleuren centraal staan. De muziek van componist Giacomo Puccini wordt hier uitgevoerd in een openluchtsetting van het Festival Puccini in Torre del Lago, wat zorgt voor een directe en theatrale beleving van de opera.
