Omschrijving

New Orleans vormt het decadente, sensuele decor voor een turbulent familieverhaal. De vampiers Elijah en Rebekah en hun hybrid vampier/weerwolf-broer Nicklaus zijn nazaten van de Mikaelson-dynastie. Deze ‘Originals’ waren de stichters en heersers van het French Quarter, tot ze een eeuw geleden verbannen werden. Wanneer de twee broers en hun zus terugkeren om hun geliefde stad te redden van Klaus’ voormalige protegé, de duivelse maar charismatische vampier Marcel Gerard, laait een eeuwenoude machtsstrijd op tussen heksen, weerwolven en vampiers.
